7. Forgetting about their baths:
Cats have a natural gift for self-grooming, and their tongues, always busy, catch dead hairs, which are then swallowed. When your cat coughs up a ball of fur, you probably sigh with annoyance – that’s what cats are like.
Then you clean up the mess. But helping with the toilet can significantly reduce the amount of hair your cat ingests, which means there’s less to digest and spit out. Cats don’t like to vomit these hairballs, any nor you want to remove them from your carpets.
Be aware sometimes hairballs can also be a sign of gastrointestinal illness. Talk to your veterinarian if you need to clean more than once or twice a month.
