8. Placing your cat on your lap while driving:
If you think your cat would enjoy the sight of your knees while driving, you could be wrong. Cats are easily frightened of any sudden movement.
And, once they are entirely free in a moving vehicle, cats could cause an accident. A free cat in a car distracts the driver and can easily injure itself or escape.
Caution is required; the best solution for your cat is a transport cage. Put the cat carrier in place and secure it for a safe journey.
