4. Cats Detect Ground Vibrations and Structural Movement

A cat’s paws, whiskers, and inner ear systems are extremely sensitive to vibration.
They can detect:
- Minor ground tremors
- Structural vibrations in buildings
- Low-frequency sounds traveling through floors and walls
This may explain why some cats react before loud noises, construction vibrations, or even minor seismic activity.
While cats can’t predict earthquakes in a scientific sense, they can feel physical changes in the environment earlier than humans, who rely mainly on sight and hearing.
